Adult Ministies

Our adult ministries are designed to help people grow deeper in their walk with Jesus and to bridge relationships with one another. Here are several opportunities to become involved with adult ministry.

Sunday Morning Adult Bible Connections; 11am-12pm

Covering such topics as “The Bible, Book by Book”, “The Christian Atheist”, “New Community”, “Not a Fan”, and “The Sermon on the Mount”, our Adult Bible Connections classes are a great environment in which to grow in your faith and bridge into relationships with others from First Baptist.  For further information, please contact Pastor Tom VandenBerg.

Sunday Evening Discipleship Classes; 6pm-7:15pm

Our discipleship classes are designed for more specific teaching that varies depending on season (each elective season lasts for about 9 weeks). Whether it is a Bible study in 1 Peter, Membership Class, or Children’s Choir, this is a great way to grow in your faith theologically and practically.  Our Sunday Evening Discipleship Series begins on September 20 at 6 pm.  The featured study is “Living in Hostile Territory by the Grace of God”, a study of 1 Peter lead by Pastor Paul Mann.  Other offerings include Children’s Choir, a “New to First/Membership Class”, and a Grace Life study.  Brochures with additional information are available at the Welcome Center.

Men's 5on5 Groups

Each month we have mens groups meeting throughout the Holland/Zeeland area to be accoutable to one another and grow together in Christ. Please contact the church office if you are interested in becoming involved with one of these groups.

Women's Bible Studies

Beginning September 21 there will be two women's Bible studies meeting at First Baptist. The first will meet from 9:30am-11:30am in the Parlor. The second will meet on Monday evenings from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

Both classes will be using the study material from Pastor James MacDonald's, Lord, Change My Attitude study.
